Functions of E - HRM

  E - HRM

E-HRM is the integration of all HR systems and activities using the web based technologies. Simply, when HR uses the Internet or related technologies to support their activities, procedures, processes, then it becomes an e-HRM.

Through e-HRM, the HR manager can get all the data compiled at one place and can make the analysis and decisions on the personnel effectively.

Types of e-HRM

Operational e-HRM: This type of e-HRM is concerned with HR's operational responsibilities, such as payroll, employee personal information, and so on.

Relational e-HRM: This type of e-HRM is concerned with supporting business activities such as training, recruitment, and selection.

Transformational e-HRM It deals with HR strategies and activities like knowledge management and strategic orientation.

E-HRM Activities

E-Recruitment

Companies are increasingly using internet recruiting, sometimes known as online recruiting. Companies generally hire applicants through e-Recruitment, which uses the internet as a medium.

The most frequent method of conducting online recruitment is to post the job openings on the company's official website or to hire online recruitment websites to do the job. Some well-known online recruitment portals are Monster.com, Naukri.com, and Timesjob.com.

E-Selection

The HR department implementing the online selection process must ensure that each phase, such as project steps, vendor selection, assessment steps, applicant feedback, and so on, adheres to the procedural criteria. E-goal selection's is to make the most of human capital at a lower cost and in less time.

 E-Performance Management

Many companies employ web-based technology to evaluate an individual's performance. This can be accomplished either through the use of a computer monitoring tool, which records an individual's whole workday, or by the use of a web portal to write reviews and provide feedback on the employee's performance.

E-Learning

It refers to the use of the internet or an organization's intranet to assist employee training and development. Using online training modules, a big number of employees can be trained regardless of their location.

 E-Compensation

Compensation management online allows a company to collect, store, analyze, and communicate compensation data or information to anyone at any time. Also, from anywhere in the world, the user can access electronically distributed compensation software and analytic tools.

  2. The devolution of HR functions to management and staff is referred to as E-HRM. They often use intranets or other web-based technology to access these functions. The empowerment of managers and employees to perform certain HR functions relieves the HR department of these responsibilities, allowing HR staff to focus on the strategic aspects of HR rather than the operational aspects, and allowing organizations to reduce HR department staffing levels as the administrative burden is reduced. Good Luck.
